These general terms and conditions are applied to reservations of Pyhä Igloos if there is no separate agreement between the customer and the service provider.

Booking and reservation confirmation

Products and services are reserved via the online booking system in website address pyhaigloos.fi/en. All reservations are confirmed by email which informs the price of the reservation and ordered products. Needed customer information is required within the reservation process in order to receive a reservation confirmation.

In situations where a booking is made by the reception, a confirmation link is sent to the customer, by which the customer confirms the booking and the booking becomes binding on the customer.

The customer needs to accept the reservation terms and conditions which are valid during the reservation. Reservations can be made by adults (persons older than 18 years) only. If a minor is accommodated alone the guardian of the minor will need to inform in written in advance that accommodation is accepted and that the guardian is responsible of the minor and his/her actions.

Pets are not allowed.

Payments

Visma Pay (Paybyway Oy, business-id FI24865594) is the payment facilitator of the online shop. The Paybyway Oy is a payment facilitator authorized by the Financial Supervisory Authority of Finland.

The payment process is conducted in the online service of the Visma Pay. Visma or Paybyway Oy is shown as the payment received in the bank account listing and in the invoice. Paying with Visma Pay is safe. All information is exchanged through secured connections. The trade happens between the online customer and the online shop. The online shop is responsible for all obligations related to the trade.

Payment methods

With Visma Pay you can pay your order by an internet banking account, a wallet, a payment card (credit/debit), an invoice or a partial payment. The following methods of payment are supported: Osuuspankki, Nordea, Danske Bank, Oma Säästöpankki, Säästöpankki, Aktia, Paikallisosuuspankit, S-Pankki, Handelsbanken, Ålandsbanken, Jousto, Enterpay Company Invoice, MobilePay, Masterpass, Pivo, Visa-, Visa Debit-, Visa Electron-, MasterCard- and Debit MasterCard payment cards.

MobilePay: You can pay with your MobilePay wallet if you have allowed online payments in the settings of the MobilePay application. Payment via MobilePay takes place directly from the payment card linked to MobilePay. If charging the payment from the linked card fails, MobilePay can not be used in the online shop.

Jousto invoice and part-payment is a Finnish service for making purchases quickly and safely. Jousto is for private persons having their economy in balance. Arrival and departure

Check-in on the arrival date is earliest at 4 p.m. and check-out on the departure date is the latest at 12 a.m.

Arrival after 4 p.m.

Igloo will be reserved on the arrival date until 4 p.m. After this Pyhä Igloos has the right to sell the room to another customer if the customer has not arrived or informed of the later arrival. If the accommodation has been paid in advance, Pyhä Igloos will keep the room reserved also after 4 p.m.

No-show reservation

If the customer has not arrived on the arrival date and the reservation has not been cancelled within the terms, the Pyhä Igloos has the right to charge the payments according to the terms and conditions. Minimum charge is always one night stay accommodation charge.

Reservation cancellation

Cancellation terms vary depending on the reservation dates, packages, and special conditions within the hotel. Possibility to cancel the reservation without charges depends on the chosen price terms at the time of the reservation. Cancellation of the reservation needs to be done by contacting us by phone or email.

Cancellation policy

When accommodation is between May and November

  • If cancellation is made 3 days prior to arrival, the reservation can be cancelled free of charge.

When accommodation is between December and April

  • If cancellation is made 30 days prior to arrival, the reservation can be cancelled free of charge.
  • Cancellation fee 50 % will be charged if the cancellation is made 29 – 8 days prior to arrival.
  • Cancellation fee 100% will be charged if the cancellation is made 7 days or less than prior to arrival or not at all.

Pyhä Igloos has the right to cancel the reservation in case of force majeure or other overpowering objects. In this case, the customer has the right to receive the pre-payment of the reservation fully back. Pyhä Igloos has the right to cancel the reservation in case if the necessary pre-payments of the reservation has not been paid within a given timetable. For obligatory reasons hotel has the right to move the reservation into at least the same category hotel. In this case, Pyhä Igloos will compensate for all transfer costs. Hotel reservations apply the law of accommodation and restaurant business, not the law of packaged tour operator law.

In serious medical injuries or illnesses, the cancellation of the reservation is required to be informed as soon as possible and provide an official medical certificate which ables to cancel the reservation and payment compensated with only office fees reduced (35€ per room). Cancellation needs to be done before the accommodation starts. The official medical certificate or other reliable document needs to be delivered to Pyhä Igloos within 14 days of the cancellation date. If the certificate or document is delivered later than 14 days the compensation will not be paid. Cancellation made during the accommodation stay or the discontinuing of the vacation does not give the right for the compensation. Travel insurance is advised to be checked in case of the cancellation of the reservation.

If the reservation has caused special expenses of the ordered extra services, they will be fully charged within the cancellation of the reservation.

Gift Cards

Pyhä Igloos gift card can be used to pay for accommodation and our own produced additional services. The gift card can not be used for trips or activities organized by a third party (summer and winter activities).

The gift card is valid for one year from the time of purchase and its code is delivered to the buyer by e-mail. The gift card code can be used for payment when booking online by entering the gift card code for the order with the "use a code" function, in which case the value of the card is used to pay for the order. The gift card cannot be converted into cash and any unused value will not be refunded.

Other information

The products and services which are reserved via an online booking system include value-added taxes. We reserve the right to changes in the terms and prices. The customer needs to read the valid terms and conditions and accept them before making the reservation.

Pyhä Igloos handles all customer information confidentially. The parts that are not handled in Pyhä Igloos terms and conditions, they are handled in reservation terms and conditions regarding accommodation services done by Finnish Hospitality Association (MaRa).

We save on washing – not on hygiene

We use environmentally friendly and environmentally labelled detergents and do not wash clothes, towels and bed linen that have not been used. To save on detergents, packaging, water and energy, we give you the option of using your towels an extra day. Please leave your towel on the floor if you wish to have it changed. We also normally wash your bed linen every third night only, unless you ask us to do it more frequently.
